Het is lang geleden dat ik hier nog iets postte, maar vandaag ben ik terug met een beauty-gerelateerde post! De laatste tijd brengen meer en meer merken een BB cream op de markt en ik vond het hoog tijd me daar wat meer in te verdiepen.
BB creams (Blemish Balm) vinden hun oorsprong in Aziatische landen, waar ze gebruikt worden als een all-in-one product. Ze functioneren als dagcrème, primer, serum, foundation en zonnemelk. Vaak worden ze gebruikt door patiënten die een cosmetische ingreep hebben ondergaan. Nu zijn ze ook aan hun opmars in het Westen bezig en hebben heel wat merken hun eigen versie op de markt gebracht. Ik was alvast enthousiast toen ik ze overal zag verschijnen, een all-in-one product, daar zeg ik geen nee tegen! :)

De Dream Fresh BB Cream van Maybelline claimt 8 dingen te doen voor je huid, wat bijna te mooi is om waar te zijn. In eerste instantie was ik dus een beetje kritisch en probeerde ik geen al te hoge verwachtingen te hebben. Maar na het product enkele dagen gebruikt te hebben (in de kleur 'light'), was ik toch aangenaam verrast!
ENG. The Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream claims to do 8 things for your skin, which is almost too good to be true. At first I was a bit critical and I tried to keep my expectations low. I used this product for several days in the color 'light' and am pleasantly surprised.
Mijn huid is vrij licht, wat het vaak moeilijk maakt de juiste kleur te vinden. Maar deze keer had ik geluk, de kleur is perfect! Het aanbrengen gaat ook vlotjes, gewoon met je vingers inwrijven zoals een dagcrème en klaar! Het egaliseert en frist je teint op. Je ziet en voelt dus niet dat je iets op hebt, wat op zomer dagen (al laat de zon het momenteel even afweten in België :() wel een leuke plus is. Daarbovenop bevat hij ook SPF 30, gedaan dus met plakkerige zonnecrème in je gezicht te wrijven. Tot slot is deze BB cream gemaakt op basis van een gel, en bevat hij geen olie. Het is dus geen al te vet product waardoor het geschikt is voor mensen met een vette huid.

ENG. I have pretty fair skin, which makes it often difficult to find the right color. But this time I was lucky, the color matches me perfectly! The application is very simple, just rub it in with your fingers and you're ready! It evens out and refreshes your complexion. You can't see or feel you have something on your face, which is a nice plus on summer days (although we don't have a lot of sun in Belgium at the moment :(). It also contains SPF 30, Which means you don't have to apply a sticky sunscreen to protect your face against sunlight. To finish, this BB cream is has a gel-formula, and it does not contain oil. So it's not too greasy which makes it suitable for people with oily skin.
Op de foto links zie je het product net uit het flesje, en op de foto rechts zie je het product volledig uitgesmeerd op mijn hand (heb mijn best gedaan dit zo goed mogelijk over te brengen op foto!). Het is absoluut geen volledig dekkende foundation, wie dus op zoek is naar een dekkend product zit met deze BB cream niet goed. Maar als je gaat voor een no make-up look, waarbij je wil hydrateren en er gewoon net dat tikkeltje beter wil uitzien, zit je goed met deze BB cream.
ENG. On the left you see the product right out of the bottle, and on the picture on the right you see the product applied on t my hand (I tried my best to capture the product on camera!). It is absolutely not a full-coverage foundation, so for those of you on the hunt for something with good coverage, this is not for you. But if you go for a no-makeup look, you want to moisturize and look all natural, you're settled with this BB cream.
